The Best Pill

Now those days seem so uneventful, I sleepwalked through the inane.

Every hour was but a rerun, four padded walls of mundane.

So let me put it simply, I’ll limit the words that I choose.

You’re the candy coated capsule that’s taken away my blues.

You’re the best pill I ever swallowed.

You’re the first kiss to brighten my day.

You have charmed the circuits in my brain.

You don’t leave me empty or hollow.

I don’t crash land.  I never nose dive.

You’re the best pill I ever swallowed – one dose to smile so wide.

Some things I might have done different, some things were out of my hands.

Some things taught me lessons, some things I still don’t understand.
