Stained Glass Window
Life through a stain glass window,
shedding the sun on my pillow.
The trouble it seems,
is I can’t share this scene,
with a girl who is in San Francisco.
But I won’t be sinking too low,
as long as the sun continues to glow.
And fall on my bed,
in a diamond-shaped red.
Life through a stain glass window.
All these colors defuse
into wonderful hues-
painting my room like a rainbow.
The trouble it seems,
is I can’t share this scene,
with a girl who is in San Francisco.
But I won’t be sinking too low,
as long as the sun continues to glow.
Yellow so true,
streaks of green and of blue,
life through a stain glass window.
Baby please don’t delay,
don’t let this picture fade to gray.
‘Cause my room is on fire
in the midday sun.
All these colors defuse
into wonderful hues-
painting my room like a rainbow.
The trouble it seems,
is I can’t share this scene,
with a girl who is in San Francisco.
But I won’t be sinking too low,
as long as the sun continues to glow.
Yellow so true, streaks of green and of blue,
Life through a stain glass window.
