Billy Mutschler began writing music while pretending to immerse himself in the world of higher education at UNC Chapel Hill. He's written twenty years of material and has released five albums.  Some songs were winners, some songs were sad, some songs were brilliant, and some drove him mad.  These songs are catalogued on scattered cassette tapes that litter North America from Alaska to Connecticut to the Baja to North Carolina and finally to Texas. If you find one, queue-it-up and enjoy.

Larisa Montanaro moved to Austin ten years ago to earn her doctorate and to escape the frigid Adirondack winters.  She has been adding harmony and rhythm to Billy's songs for four years.  When she's not with the Poets, Larisa leads a double life as a classical singer and electronic composer (www.larisamontanaro.com).  Dr. Montanaro specializes in avante garde voice performance -- particularly pieces that require electronics.  As an award-winning composer, she has written experimental music for choreographers, artists, performers, and listeners.
