Every Day of My Life

Every day of my life I come home to my beautiful wife
and a boy and his sis and with one little kiss…
it dissolves in delight.  And the world that marked time with the trite
little tasks we all do melts away when that door swings me through.

Every day of my life ain’t no fairy tale but suffice
it to say from all I observe, got more love than I do deserve.

Every morn starts with cornflakes and three cups of coffee cup shakes.
And it all suits me fine when my girl steals a hug from behind.
And says, “Hey, I love you…and no matter what that world can do,
I am your biggest fan!”  Not too bad for a working class man.

Every day of my life ain’t no fairy tale but suffice
it to say from all I observe, got more love than I do deserve.

I’ve got no need to compare, when I ponder that love waiting there.
Pretty grand from where I stand, not too bad for a working class man!

Every day of my life ain’t no fairy tale but suffice
it to say from all I observe, got more love that I do deserve.
